How to Find Us We are located half way up the western coast of Cape Breton Island in the village of Mabou. Our property fronts on Route 19 while our park lot access is from Southwest Ridge Rd., just 50 metres off the main highway, Route 19. It is adjacent to The Mother of Sorrows Shrine. If arriving by car from the mainland- Follow Route 104 to the Canso Causeway. Upon arriving on the Island there is a Visitor Information Centre immediately on your right in Port Hastings. There is a traffic rotary where you should take the first exit to the left which is Route 19, the Ceilidh Trail. Continue north on Route 19 approximately 55 km (45 minutes). We are 10 minutes north of Port Hood. There is a sign for the Inn just before you get into the village of Mabou as well as another on our property at the intersection of Route 19 and Southwest Ridge Rd. If arriving from Sydney, Baddeck or other points along Route 105, take 105 to Whycocomagh. There you will go west on Route 252 which goes from Whycocomagh to Mabou. (Watch for the left turn to stay on 252 about 8 minutes from Whycocomagh.) Route 252 ends at Route 19 at the north end of the village of Mabou. Turn left at the stop sign, South on Route 19. We will be about 1 km down the road. Watch for our sign and property on the left. If arriving by bus or shuttle- There is now a shuttle service operating between Halifax and Mabou! It is called Central Inverness Shuttle Service by Carl Beaton and operates 6 days a week, Sunday to Friday. The phone number is 1-902-945-2000 or toll free 1-866-826-2477. This is the only direct service available and you can get off right in Mabou. The only other option is to take Acadian Lines Bus Lines or the other shuttle operators to Whycocomagh (about a 1/2 hour drive away); if this is the case, please call us in advance and we'll see what can be arranged for making sure you get around.
