Welcome to the Mabou River Inn, located on Route 19, the Ceilidh Trail, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia Come and enjoy the spectacular beaches, beautiful highlands setting, Celtic music, Scottish culture, fabulous hiking and walking trails, kayaking, birds and bald eagles galore, trout and salmon fishing, as well as the many quality products and services of our community. We have all that a person or family needs in our community for entertainment, cultural experience or adventure and we welcome you to discover it. We pride ourselves on our fresh homemade biscuits (scones), cinnamon rolls, breads, pizza, and meals. It's just like what Grandma used to make! Our facility is designed to allow you the space to tuck yourselves away, or to interact and enjoy the company of our other guests. Enjoy a visit to the Mother of Seven Sorrows Shrine or a leisurely walk along the Trans Canada Trail, which adjoins our property and meanders along the Mabou River. There are also mountain bikes, sea kayaks, and we have complimentary Internet access. A short drive will take you to alternate walking and hiking trails at West Mabou Beach Provincial Park or to the coastal area of the Cape Mabou Highland Hiking Trails. We are Open Year Round (with a few exceptions), reservations are recommended. We are fully licensed and are an ideal facility for individual travellers, families, groups or professional conferences. We have been rated by Canada Select and have earned a 3 1/2 star rating.
